CHAIR-ity Auction Supports Eastside Community Ministry
ZANESVILLE, OH – Get ready to dust off that old bar stool, spruce up a garden bench, and give old chairs new life, because the Eastside Community Ministry CHAIR-ity Auction is happening February 22nd through 24th at the Colony Square Mall.
From rocking chairs to kitchen chairs, this unique event invites the community to showcase their creativity by donating chairs of all shapes, sizes, and functions with a theme of your choice. This “sit-tacular” event will help Eastside Community Ministry continue their amazing work within our community.
“It’s important because we are serving so many people in so many different ways here at Eastside through our food pantry, our clothing bank, our emergency relief program, and our year around youth program. This event really helps us to be able to continue to do what we do in this community,” Eastside Community Ministry Executive Director, Jamie Trout said.
To participate, complete an entry form by February 7th. Chair drop-offs will take place at the mall on February 21st from 5 to 7 pm and February 22nd from 11 am to 3 pm. Preview of the auction items and People’s Choice votes will also be held on the 22nd from 5 to 7.
“The fun thing about the CHAIR-ity Auction is that there’s never one of the same thing. People get very creative. We have local artists that participate, people that quilt blankets, they donate those items. We will also take incentive packages if you don’t want to donate a chair, and we’ll piece that up with a chair that doesn’t have an incentive package,” Trout said.
