Chandler Pleads Guilty in Drug Bust

A Zanesville woman who was arrested in a September drug buy bust pled guilty Tuesday in Muskingum County Common Pleas Court.

28-year-old Heather Chandler pled guilty to one count of trafficking in crack cocaine, one count of possession of crack cocaine and one count of possession in front of Judge Mark Fleegle.

Chandler was arrested September 23, when detectives from the Narcotics Unit and police officers conducted a buy bust around the Underwood Avenue and Eastman Street area. They then searched her Thurman Street home and seized drugs and paraphernalia.

In return for her guilty plea four other possession charges will be dropped. She remains in the Muskingum County Jail on $25,000 as she awaits sentencing.
