ZANESVILLE, Ohio-A local organization celebrates 30 years of service.

Christ’s table is celebrating it’s anniversary. Executive Director, Keely Warden said they’ve served just under 3 million hot meals.

“You’re just nonfunctional if you’re hungry,” Warden said. “Kids can’t go to school and learn. People can’t go to work and function properly [when] you’re hungry. Sometimes, it’s hard to understand that feeling of going to bed hungry at night.”

Warden said one out of every four children in Muskingum County are under the poverty level. Last year Christ’s Table served more than 120,000 meals.

“We try to make sure that there’s one nutritional meal everyday available to those that we service. It’s not just about eating. It’s about eating right,” Warden said.

Warden thanks the community for all the support throughout the years.
