An area school recieves quite a gift to boost technology for its students.
Cambridge Middle School competed in the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act Title-Two-D competitve grant. The school is one of only 48 within the state to secure the grant worth nearly $250,000.
Principal Don Vogt said the money will help to install smart boards and smart technology in the classrooms. The school will know more about how the money will be used after a team of teachers receives the outlines in Columbus next week.
Vogt said the technology will greatly enhance the learning of students and allow them to interact with the internet and programs associated with their text books.
He said the students have also been involved in the process by selling cookie dough to raise money for the projection machines required to run the smart boards.
