Coconis Cuts Ribbon on Lancaster Location

Coconis Furniture is expanding to a new market with a new store concept.

The fourth generation family owned furniture company cut the ribbon on their new eight-thousand square foot location in Lancaster.

The store focuses on a concept they’re calling, “sit and sleep.” The store features mattresses and reclining furniture and recliners from the La-Z-Boy brand.

“It was a pretty easy transition for us. Mattresses as I mentioned is one of our biggest departments and something that we do very well,” explained Coconis General Manager Bo Coconis. “With having the pair of reclining furniture and La-Z-boy and mattresses is something that we’re fortunate and something we know.”

Coconis said should the store be well received they could expand to be a more traditional Coconis location like you’d see in Zanesville and Heath.

He credits their staff for making the expansion possible.

That’s one of the toughest things you worry about and in this case Lancaster is an hour away from our main location and being able to get a good quality staff down there makes you feel comfortable with what you have to work with and the future can hold,” said Coconis.

You can find the Coconis in Lancaster at 1706 Memorial Drive. In honor of their opening they’re giving away a Serta Icomfot Mattress and a La-Z-Boy recliner during the month of February at the new location.
