Commission Rules on Space Ad
The Ohio Elections Commission issues a ruling concerning a recent television ad paid for by US Congressman Zack Space’s campaign committee.
The commission said that the ad contained false statements meant to obscure the record of opponent Bob Gibbs.
Gibbs’ campaign said that Space lied in the ad to hide the truth that unemployment in the 18th District has doubled since he took office and that he continues to vote for job killing legislation like the Cap and Trade National Energy Tax.
Space’s office says it’s a disappointed with the ruling but added that the Ohio Elections Commission also uncovered that Gibbs’ campaign used state resources and taxpayer dollars for campaign activity.
It said that information came out in testimony earlier Thursday. Space’s office said it’s looking into its opitions to see if it will file a complaint.
