Community Enjoys Beautiful Weather

The community was out and about celebrating the nice weather Sunday.

We made a visit to Zane’s Landing Park to talk to the community about the sunshine and warm air. The responses were unanimous.

“Stephanie: I absolutely love it. I wish it was like this a month ago. Anthony: It could stay like this till Christmas.”

“Marianne: I really love this weather. I’ve been looking forward to it all winter. We’ve been outside most of the day playing with the kids, doing some painting. I’m going to catch a quick run right now.”

Residents all over town could be found getting their plants in the ground, running, biking and even fishing. Today’s toasty temperatures left many people dreaming of summer. We asked everyone to share their plans with us for the warm months ahead.

“Kendra: Just go fishing and go mudding and go swimming. Nick: We’re going to have a lot of cookouts, a lot of family get togethers and probably just try to stay outside as much as I can until it gets cold again. Then I’m going to have to go hibernate again.”

The average high for this time of the year is only 69 degrees, but Sunday, temperatures topped off in the mid 70’s across the area.
