Community Gearing Up for Race for Grace

Race For Grace

ZANESVILLE, OH – This Thanksgiving, the community is invited to lace up your running shoes and join the feast of fitness and goodwill.

The annual Race for Grace will take place on Thanksgiving morning at 9 AM. The race begins at Grace Church and goes through Downtown Zanesville. Runners can register with a $30 race fee, but the fee increases to $35 after November 22nd.

“There’s a one mile walk and a 5K for anyone who wants to come out and get out of the cooks way for the morning and do something healthy and that helps support the community,” Race for Grace Committee Member, Katie Lupsor said.

This race isn’t just about crossing the finish line, it’s about setting a pace in the fight against hunger. All the proceeds will go directly to local food pantries to help combat food insecurity in the community.

“I think this initiative’s really important for families to get together on Thanksgiving. It is the holiday. It’s a great time to get out and do something healthy and help in the fight against food insecurity in the local community,” Lupsor said.
