Community Leaders Hosts Annual ‘Stuff the Bus’

ZANESVILLE, Ohio – Two local organizations is are teaming up to help provide 1,000 students with school supplies.
Eastside Community Ministries along with Delta Kappa Gamma hosted their Annual ‘Stuff the Bus’ fundraiser on Saturday. From 10 a.m to 2 p.m hundreds of shoppers flooded the Maple Avenue Wal-Mart to donate school supplies to ‘Stuff the Bus.’
"There are a lot of parents that aren’t able to financially get those things for their children. If there are parents that find themselves in that position they can still apply for the book bags down at Eastside but, of course Zanesville being the wonderful community that they are we want to support all the young children," said Judy Emmons
Member, Delta Kappa Gamma.
Once all the materials is collected volunteers will put the school supplies into the backpacks for the students to take home before the first day of school.
"We will distributing them from Zanesville Middle School on August the 4th. You must already have applied for the book bag in order to get a book bag, you can not come that day you have to pre- apply," said Emmons.
If you missed the chance to donate Saturday, Eastside Community Ministry is still accepting both supply and monetary donations through the beginning
