Congressman Johnson shares White House insight

ZANESVILLE, Ohio- Congressman Bill Johnson made a stop in Zanesville Tuesday.

The Republican Representative for Ohio’s 6th District shared some insight from his work in the House of Representatives under the Trump administration.

“A lot of good things have been happening that the American people don’t get to talk about very much and I think it’s important to remind them that in spite of the fog and friction of the battle in Washington, some good things are getting done,” said Johnson.

He said the Trump administration has passed and signed more legislation to law than the previous four administrations. One of which created 800,000 jobs, a change Johnson said will benefit Southeastern Ohio.

“Look at all the land, look at all the manufacturing sites here that have been abandoned over the years as manufacturing has left our region,” Johnson said. “You’re going to see a lot of businesses want to come back to this region of the country because of the low-cost energy for electricity and also because of a work force that’s ready to go to work.”

Before his Zanesville stop, Johnson hosted an economic round table in Noble County.

Johnson said his next trip to the Y-city will be for the Muskingum County Fair.
