Conley Cooperating At Washington Co. Jail

The Washington County Sheriff’s Office says so far inmate Dominick Conley has been cooperative.

Sergeant Jeff Lagasse says the 18-year-old is being held away from the general population in a segregated unit which consists of two cells.

He says that area is used for inmates in a high profile case.

Conley is accused of shooting Zanesvile Police Officer Mike Schiele and his K-9 partner Bosco Sunday night while being served a misdemeanor warrant.

Conley appeared in Zanesville Municipal Court Wednesday where he pled guilty to those charges which included assault and criminal damaging.

His case goes before a Muskingum County Grand Jury next Wednesday.

They will decide whether to indict him on 11 felony counts which carry gun specifications and include assaulting a police officer, assaulting a dog, kidnapping, abduction and aggravated burglary.

Conley is being held on a $2,000,000 bond.
