Connie Cahill Cooks Up Holiday Favorites

The holiday season is almost here, and for some, it’s already time to start planning what’s on the menu.

On Thursday, the North Terrace Church of Christ in Zanesville hosted the Home Again Cooking Show with Connie Cahill.  President of Riesbeck’s Food Markets Richard Riesbeck said Cahill is an expert at cooking homemade meals on a tight budget.

"What Connie will actually do is she’ll start with fresh ingredients, and she’ll prepare them on stage and give everyone in the audience a chance to see how each recipe is made," said Riesbeck.

This year’s featured recipes included panko onion tilapia, apple sausage cobbler and patty melt pizza.  Riesbeck said his favorite dish is dessert.

"Connie is putting on a demonstration for a pumpkin cheesecake, and when it reaches its finished form, it’s rather good," said Riesbeck.

Everyone who attended the show had a chance to win Riesbeck’s gift cards, Longaberger baskets and a gas grill.
