Coshocton Balloon Festival coming in June
The Coshocton Balloon Festival will celebrate 34 years next weekend.
Member of the Organizing Committee for the festival Ken Cramer said that they wouldn’t have lasted so many years without the help from their sponsors and generosity of the community.
“It’s a challenge,” said Cramer. “To keep any kind of festival going in any community for that long… it’s a challenge,” said Cramer.
The festival will include music, food, carnival rides, and of course hot air balloon launches. The event is free and open to the public. Cramer said that hot air balloons are a special treat that he hopes visitors will enjoy.
“It has something to do with the magic of ballooning itself,” said Cramer. “I flew for 22 years and no matter where I went, it doesn’t’ matter where I was flying, everyone seemed to stop,” said Cramer.
The festival begins June 4 through June 6. It will be held at the Coshocton County Fairgrounds.
