Coshocton Man Killed; Child injured in Accident

A Coshocton man is dead and a child seriously injured following a two vehicle accident on State Route 60 near Warsaw in Coshocton County, Tuesday evening.

The Zanesville Post of the patrol says 56-year-old John Harmon of Coshocton was pronounced dead at the scene after his vehicle was struck by a pick-up driven by 18-year-old Andrea Armstrong of Nashport.

A press release from the patrol says, Armstrong was driving south on SR 60 when she lost control of the vehicle and slid left of center into the northbound lane, striking Harmon’s vehicle.

Armstrong was taken to Coshocton Memorial and later to OSU Medical Center.

A six-year-old passenger in the Harmon vehicle was transported by helicopter to Akron Children’s Hospital with serious injuries.

No charges have been filed at this time, the patrol continues to investigate.
