Country Cowboys 4-H Club Gives Back

A group of kids is doing their part to help others in need.

The Country Cowboys 4-H Club hosted a clothing and food drive Saturday, as part of its yearly community service project.

"The club comes up with it. Someone makes a motion, they vote on it, and this is what the kids came up to do," said parent Stephen Porinchok.

The kids held signs on Maple Avenue near Coburn United Methodist Church. They collected non-perishable food, clothing and monetary donations.

"Every year, they try to do at least one community project. This is the first time we’ve done the food and clothing drive. With our first year, we’re just looking for any kind of donations, you know, anything we can get to help the community."

All proceeds will benefit Eastside Community Ministry in Zanesville.
