Crooksville Armed Robbery/Shooting Investigated

Perry County Sheriff William Barker says he is investigating an armed robbery that turned into a shooting. It happened Sunday night just after 7:00 pm at the South Side Carryout at 5200 Ceramic Road in Crooksville. Sheriff Barker says a female clerk was sweeping the floor when the suspect approached her with a gun and demanded money. Barker says at some point he shot her in the left leg. Her injuries were not thought to be life threatening. The suspect is described as a young white male. Anyone with information on the crime is asked to call the Perry County Sheriff’s Office.
