Dancing Divas Women Expo
ZANESVILLE, Ohio- A local club inspired by a trip to Vegas hosts a women’s empowerment event at Eaglesticks Golf Club.
The Dancing Divas organized a Women’s Expo for women in the community. The Divas are a nonprofit organization made up of women who love to dance. Debbon Pappes, a Dancing Diva, says the women travel to performances and that’s where the idea for the expo was born.
“We performed in Las Vegas at an event out there for women and we were so impressed with it we wanted to bring something like that to Zanesville for the women here.”
The expo features many different vendors and resources to help empower women. Rambo Health Center was on site to give flu shots. There was information on mammograms. As well as a host of vendors from crafts and jewelry to health and beauty. Many of the vendors, like Kris Hawley, came out to help support the Divas and to network with other women in the community.
“This is an awesome venue. My sister-in-law actually is a Dancing Diva and she set this up with her other girls and they do a lot of charity work so I wanted to help with that.”
The Dancing Divas also took the stage along with other guest performers. The Dancing Divas is an organization for women of all ages. They promote a healthy lifestyle through dance. The women work together to help teach dance classes to others and provide scholarships for young students pursuing dance.
