Daniel Re-sentenced on Murder Charge
A White Cottage man convicted in the shooting death of a man at the Burger King in South Zanesville in 2013 is re-sentenced today. 35-year-old Timothy Daniel appeared before Muskingum County Common Pleas Judge Mark Fleegle after the Ohio Supreme Court announced that it would not hear an appeal of a 5th District Court ruling that reduced Daniel’s life sentence with no parole. Judge Fleegle re-sentenced Daniel to 29-years to life in prison. The Appeals court reduced an aggravated murder charge to just murder. Daniel’s other charges which included felonious assault, carrying a concealed weapon and having a weapon while under a disability stayed the same. Daniel was convicted in the October 2013 shooting death of Charles Hooper of Zanesville at the fast food restaurant.
