Darroll “GAIL” Chambers (October 9, 1944 – July 28, 2010)
Darrol “Gail†Chambers, 65, Zanesville, passed away 2:53am Wednesday, July 28, 2010 at Genesis Hospice Morrison House.
Gail was born October 9, 1944 in Zanesville the son of the late Joseph and Goldie (Vandyne) Chambers. Gail retired from Big Bear where he worked as a meat cutter and he was the previous owner and operator of Gail’s Motor Sales. He enjoyed fishing, playing cards and he really enjoyed his profession.
Gail is survived by his wife Jean (Harkins) Chambers, whom he married May 8th 1965; his son Gregg Chambers (Amber) of Zanesville; his daughter, Sherri (Eric) McDonald of Zanesville; his brother Terry “Chub†(Judy) Chambers of Philo; a sister Rebecca Gladman of Zanesville and his grandchildren Jenna Buchanan, Kyle Ankrom, Abigail Whitney and Anastasia Whitney. He is also survived by a life long Friend John Newland and several nieces, nephews and friends. The family would like to thank Patrick Chambers for all he has done for his uncle.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his daughter Debra Jean Chambers, his brothers Joseph “Sonny Chambers, Ike Chambers, Paul Chambers, Kenneth Chambers and Roy Chambers; his sisters Goldie Jones, Betty Roberts, Norma “Trink†Fisher and Dixie Collins.
Visitation will be 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm Friday, July 30, 2010 at the Thompson-Farus Funeral Home, Duncan Falls, where funeral services will be 11 am Saturday with Pastor Stephen Harrop officiating. Burial will follow in Duncan Falls Cemetery.
