ZANESVILLE
David L. Harlan 67 of Zanesville, passed away Friday May 26, 2017 at Genesis Hospice Morrison House. He was born June 27, 1949 in Zanesville a son of Florence Ridenour Harlan and the late George Harlan. David served his country and protected our freedoms from 1972-1974 in the United States Army. He received his Masters Degree from The Ohio State University and was retired from John Glenn High School where he taught Industrial Arts. He was Assistant Scout Master with Boy Scout Troop and Crew 510 in New Concord and a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, Zanesville.
He is survived by his wife Linda Kimpel Harlan; daughter Kara Green; son Nathan (Jennifer) Harlan and all of Zanesville; two sisters Beth (Bruce) Rose of Glenford and Karen (Jim) Ewing of Circleville; five grandchildren Samantha (Jacob) Lafferty Kaleigh Green, Olivia Harlan, Raegan Green and Cohen Harlan .
Friends may call 2-4 and 6-8 on Tuesday May 30, 2017 at The Snouffer Funeral Home, 1150 West Military Road, Zanesville and one hour prior to services at 11:00am on Wednesday May 31, 2017 at the St. John’s Lutheran Church 116 North 7th Street Zanesville with Rev. Mark Combs officiating. Burial will follow in St. Paul Cemetery Sonora.
