ZANESVILLE, Ohio- The Democratic party made a stop in Muskingum County Wednesday afternoon.

Former U.S. Representative for Ohio’s 18th Congressional District, Zack Space, and Chairman of the Ohio Democratic Party, David Pepper were in downtown Zanesville at the Board of Elections.

“We’re all over the state today pushing early vote,” Pepper said. “There are a few days left to vote early, we encourage people to do that.”

Pepper said they have seen great early vote numbers all over the state.

Early voting for the state of Ohio began on October 12th. Any Ohio registered voter is eligible for early voting.

“Ohio may determine the outcome of the presidential election so there are people in other states, in many other states who wish they could come to Ohio and vote because we do play a significant vote,” said Space.

Space reiterated the importance of voting in Ohio.

“We all have a stake in this, its a democracy, but it only works when people vote,” Space said. “If you don’t get out and vote, then as I mentioned, you don’t really have a right to complain.”

The former congressman and chairman have travelled around the Buckeye state and went to Newark after their Zanesville stop.

Election day is Tuesday, November 8th.
