Dog of the Week

ZANESVILLE, Ohio- The Muskingum County Dog Warden is looking for a new home for Tank. He is an owner release and has been with the adoption center since May. He is a young pitbull mix with a fun personality with a calm and collected demeanor.
Despite earning a relaxed reputation at the adoption center, he is also a social butterfly and is comfortable meeting new people.
“He is very manageable on his walks. The gentleman actually told us that he was the neighborhood favorite. Anybody from kids to adults could come up and pet him, and he loved all that. I personally have actually had the honor of walking him on a daily basis. Everyday when I come in he’s always happy to see me,” Doug McQuaid, a volunteer at the Muskingum County Dog Warden said.
His ideal home would be one where he’s the only pet, if not, only other dogs. But Tank will love any loving family as he is very laid-back.
“Maybe not be a ‘dog park’ dog, but basically just someone who wanted to go for a walk and your whole family could enjoy. He definitely is one that loves affection, is willing to get affection, like I said from kids or adults. So I think he would match well with any family,” McQuaid said.
Tank is ready for adoption and up-to-date on vaccinations, and if you do adopt him, the adoption center will be able to schedule a neutering appointment for him. Anyone interested in adding Tank to their family can give the Muskingum County Dog Warden and Adoption center a call to set up a playdate.
