MUSKINGUM COUNTY, Ohio- If your family and children are looking for a family, kid loving dog then Brutus is the dog for you.

The Muskingum County K-9 Adoption Center has named Brutus its pet of the week. He is a middle aged Great Dane Boxer mix. He was an owner release and was brought in during the month of April.

“Does very well with everybody, loves children. Rides well in the car, sits right up in the seat and leans against the seat and looks out the window. He goes right in and out of his kennel. He is very easy to walk. I feel like he is just a wonderful dog all the way around,” Adoption Center Volunteer Doug McQuaid said.

The previous owners said he isn’t a fan of cats but seems to be dog friendly. Brutus seems to get along with the other dogs at the adoption center, however if you have another dog be sure to schedule a time at the adoption center to introduce it to Brutus.

“Walks at a very slow pace the whole entire time, very easy to walk. Anybody of any age or any size could actually walk Brutus. He doesn’t seem to pick up speed or anything of that nature. He would be a companion that seems to love affection and kids is one of his specialties,” McQuaid said.

Brutus is up to date on vaccinations and neutered. He is ready for his forever home. You can schedule a meet and greet with Brutus by calling the adoption center. Volunteers will gladly set you up with a time.

You can call the Muskingum County K-9 Adoption Center at (740)-453-0273
