Doggie Day: Roxy

ZANESVILLE, Ohio- The Muskingum County Dog Warden and Adoption Center is running a special for the month of May to reduce costs and help some of their furry friends find fur-ever homes.
First, we want to introduce you to the dog of the day. Her name is Roxy. She’s about 4 years old and has been at the Adoption Center since last year. Roxy is up to date on all of her shots and has already had her surgery. Roxy was surrendered to the shelter when her family was no longer able to care for her.
“Roxy is very laid back and a chill girl. She just likes to hangout. Not much of a player. She likes to just hangout,” said Deputy Dog Warden Brittany Calihan. “I feel like if she was in a home environment she’d be one to climb up on the couch with you and watch a movie.”
Calihan said Roxy is shy so she’s a bit selective and if you are interested in her it’s best to come in and meet her with your family first. Calihan also said Roxy’s adoption fee is reduced to 50 dollars along with other dogs at the center.
“For the rest of the month of May we are going to be having discount on all of our dogs. And they are going to be screening and some paperwork to apply for those dogs if they’re interested. Like I said, $50 and $10 for the dog tag,” Calihan said.
If you’re interested in Roxy or any other dog at the center, you can give them a call them at (740) 453-0273 to set up a meeting.
