Donald B. Stottsberry, 71 of Port Charlotte, Florida, formerly of Zanesville passed away peacefully with his loving daughters by his side at 8:50 pm on Thursday October 20, 2016 after battling a long illness. He was born on June 19, 1945 in Zanesville to Charles and Lois Stottsberry.

Don attended Hopewell Free Methodist Church in Hopewell. He graduated from Oakdale Christian High School in Jackson, Kentucky. He really enjoyed golfing and spending time with his dogs Sam, Sly, Sassy and Al Capone. At just 15 years of age, Don was taught the trade of masonry, which he was a masonry contractor for over 35 years.

He leaves behind his daughters Kristy Stottsberry and Kara (Fred) Hittle; grandchildren Capt. Steven Tyler Poland, Kyle, Taylor and Sean Parrish; two sisters Becky (Gary) Fisher of Zanesville and Priscilla Hartfield of Newark; four brothers David Stottsberry of Florida, Tim (Kim) Stottsberry of Zanesville, Dan Stottsberry of Hopewell and Jon (Dee) Stottsberry of South Zanesville; many nieces and nephews, numerous cousins and his little buddy Al Capone.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister Linda Pokrywki and a granddaughter Kaylee Parrish.

Visitation will be Wednesday, October 26, 2016 from 5 to 8 pm at THE SNOUFFER FUNERAL HOME 1150 WEST MILITARY ROAD ZANESVILLE. Services will be Thursday, October 27, 2016 in the Snouffer Chapel at 11 am with Genesis Hospice Chaplain Tim Patton officiating. Burial will follow in Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery.
