Donate Halloween Candy For Money & a Good Cause

Halloween is almost here and that means many homes will be filled with a ton of candy.

If you have too much of the sweet stuff a local doctor is buying back for a good cause.

"We have a candy buy back for the trick or treaters to come in to delivery their candy we buy it back for a dollar a pound and we’re going to send it off to the troops," Dr.Chalres Hawkins explains.

Dr.Hawkins says it’s truly amazing the amount of people that are will to donate their halloween candy.

"We got kids from three years old donating their candy up to 50 donating and buying candy just to send over seas," Dr.Hawkins said.

Hawkins told WHIZ that it’s just something to let our troops know we’re thinking about them. He tells us that they will be collecting this week and next week but adds that they will continue to collect as long as someone brings it in.
