Dorothy “Dottie” “Dot” Passwaters

Dorothy “Dottie” “Dot” D. Passwaters, 85, of Zanesville passed at 2:50 AM Saturday, September 12, 2026, at The Oaks at Northpointe.

She was born on Saturday, February 15, 1941, in Zanesville, Ohio, the daughter of the late George Davis and Barbara J. Kreps Davis.

Dottie was a homemaker who enjoyed cooking and sewing. She also enjoyed tending to her vegetable and flower gardens. Dottie was a 4-H advisor for the Valley and Ridge Happy Hustlers. She was a very active member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church.

She is survived by her two children, Terry Passwaters and Jeffrey (Candy) Passwaters; a grandson, Luke Thompson; a brother, Dwight Davis; three sisters-in-law, Judy Davis, Teresa Davis and Sheila Davis; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gordon L. Passwaters; and three brothers, Dallas Davis, Dawson Davis and Dan Davis.

As per Dottie’s wishes, a cremation has taken place, and no services will be held. Burial at Mt. Olive Cemetery is to be held at a later date.
