Dorothy E. Adkins (August 28, 1916 – August 9, 2011)

Dorothy E. Adkins age 94 of Crooksville passed away Tuesday August 9, 2011 at Autumn Healthcare of Somerset. She was born August 28, 1916 in Rose farm a daughter of the late John and Hazel Hammers McIntire. She was a cook at Crooksville High School and a member of the Roseville Church of the Nazarene.
Dorothy is survived by one daughter Janet Finley of Crooksville; one sister Caroline Cannon of Roseville; three grandchildren Eric (Brenda), Jeff (Samantha) and Michael (Rachael) Finley; four great grandchildren Eric Jr., Samantha, William and Tyler; great great granddaughter Adrielle Storm; four step-grandchildren Austin, Connie, Jessica and Aubrey.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Clarence “Peck” Adkins on October 13, 1982 and two sons Howard McIntire and John McIntire Jr.; sister Margaret Parker, brother Paul Jewett; son-in-law Robert “Bob” Finley
Calling hours will be held on Thursday August 11, 2011 from 2-4 and 6-8 at THE SNOUFFER FUNERAL HOME 207 BURLEY STREET CROOKSVILLE where services will be held at 11:00 am Friday August 12, 2011.
