Doughnuts for a Good Cause

The Salvation Army Doughnut Day sale continued today at Riesbeck’s Pick n’ Save. The doughnuts cost just $3.99 and 10 percent of all proceeds will go toward the Salvation Army.

Captain care joined the team to greet customers and Envoy Commander for the Salvation Army George Bates said that he hopes the community sees that they want to do more than just ring bells in the holiday season.

The doughnut tradition began in 1917 when Salvation Army volunteers made doughnuts for troops at war to boost morale. The Salvation Army proudly remembers them with the annual doughnut sale.
