Downtown Farmer’s Market Opens

The Zanesville Downtown Farmer’s market kicked off its 2015 season with fresh flowers, produce and other organic goodies.

The market promotes locally grown produce from vendors around the area. President of the Wednesday Market, Mark Barnhart, said the goal is to sell more natural products that you wouldn’t find in your chain grocery store.

“Most of the people here raise close to organic, or organic, very little sprays,” he said. “We like to think we’re giving a better, higher quality product.”

The market runs every Wednesday from 3-6:30 p.m. at the Zanesville-Muskingum County Welcome Center.
