Dr. Chad Brown as Next President at Zane State College

Zane State College has a new president.

Chairman, John Knight, announced that the board of trustees has unanimously chosen Dr. Chad brown, current provost and executive vice president of Zane State as the next president of the college. Dr. Brown has been working closely with current president, Dr. Paul Brown, for several years and is anxious to begin his presidential duties.

"The duties officially begin July 1 of 2015 after the current president, Dr. Paul Brown retires effective June 30 in 2015. I’m really excited about the opportunity, I’ve been here at the college for 10 years, I began as a dean and have been in the provost position in the last 6 years and just really enjoyed the opportunity to impact the community and see the college grow and flourish."

Dr. Chad Brown says he wants to continue to work with the traditional aged transfer oriented student as well as provide an outstanding community college experience for all students.

"I think it’s really important that the students understand what our commitment here to Zane State has been, to provide a high quality education at a really exceptional value."

Dr. Brown has a bachelor’s of arts from Capital University, a masters of science from the University of Michigan and a doctorate from Ohio University.
