Dr. Dave’s “Periodic Table of Art” Show Coming to MCLS
ZANESVILLE, OH – The Muskingum County Library System is gearing up for a program that’s focused on bringing the worlds of science and art together.
Coming up on Monday July 21st, the library will host Dr. Dave’s Whiz Bang Science Show: “A Periodic Table of Art”.
The show is open to all ages and there will be 3 different opportunities to catch the show.
“We have Dr. Dave and Mrs. Whizbang and they will come and entertain us,” Assistant Teen Librarian Alyssa Fisher said. “But also educate us on the science of art. So this show is specifically called “A Periodic Table of Art”, so I assume it’s going to have to do with like science of the Periodic Table and how that can be done with art.”
The first show will take place at the Dresden Branch Library from 11AM to noon, the second will be at the Duncan Falls/Philo Branch from 3 to 4PM, and the final show will be at the William H. Barker Community Center in Roseville from 5:30 to 6:30PM.
Fisher said the community should try to come see one of Dr. Dave’s shows because he always ends them with a bang.
“Not only is it a great opportunity for them to get to learn something new or be entertained, but they’ll also get to participate in a community event,” Fisher said. “Where they can meet other people who might be interested, visit their library.”
Dr. Dave’s Whiz Bang Science Show also counts towards your summer reading goal, adding just another reason to attend. Registration is required and you can do so by heading to the Library’s website.
