Dr. Halle Randles receives Woman of Achievement for Education

ZANESVILLE, Ohio- This year marked the 29th anniversary for the Woman of Achievement Program.
Every year the committee selects eight women who have excelled in different categories. This years recipient for the category of education is Dr. Halle Randles. Randles notes she has worked for Zanesville City Schools for many years and is currently the Director of Instructional Services.
“Initially I was hired to supervise the gifted program and then I was a principal at McIntire Elementary School for ten years and then I am just finishing up my third as a director here at Central Office.”
Randles explains the best part of her time at Zanesville City Schools was building relationships with the students, particularly a former student who had big dreams of attending college.
“So we made arrangements for her to take the bus after school down to our central office and we set up an office here for her and we worked on her applications and everything to get into college and now she is a freshman at Wright State and she was selected to be in the honors program and on her break she spends a lot of time with us so that’s been very special.”
Randles notes the nomination came as a big surprise and is greatly honored.
