Dr. Michael & Kathleen Bullock To Be Recognized At Prayer Breakfast

Four local couples are being recognized at this years Martin Luther King Jr. Scholarship Fund Prayer Breakfast.

The event will not only award 27 students who excel academically in the muskingum county area, but it will also recognize four different couples for their dedication to the community. Today we spoke with Dr. Michael and Kathleen Bullock who have been involved within the community of Zanesville for several years.

“We planted a church 23 years ago, and I’ve been involved in a number of boards, per center, children’s services board at genesis hospital and i was on the community foundation board for a while as well and I sit on the regional committee board for OUZ. So, we do that, we also have a scholarship fund at our church that we provide for kids who are graduating high school and going on to college.”

The two are proud to call Zanesville home for over 30 years and are honored to be recognized at this years prayer breakfast.

Kathleen: “Well for me, it’s very humbling and rewarding to know that the things you do are influencing people in a positive way, and that that’s being recognized by the community, it’s a very humbling experience.” Dr. Michael: “We’re actually kind of overwhelmed, we just go along doing what we’re called to do. God’s given us a gift and we have a passion for kids, for people, for our community.”

The Martin Luther King Jr. Prayer Breakfast will be held this Monday at 9 A.M. At the North Terrace Church of Christ.
