Dresden Celebrates Homecoming

The Village of Dresden wraps up another successful Homecoming celebration with a Kid’s Day.

Saturday’s festivities kicked off with a Kiddie Parade.

Roxanne Hutchison says the parade attracts children of all ages, "It’s open to anyone in or out of town, any age group they do have different categories; the wheels, the floats, the pets, and the costumes."

The event is hosted by the American Legion Post in Dresden. Every year a Homecoming Court is chosen, this year’s Queen is Alexus Untied.

"There’s of course rides and food, and we’ll have more thank you speeches tonight and we’ll get all dressed up and then we’ll get back into our regular outfits and just have some fun for the evening," said Untied.

The celebration will conclude with games, rides and a performance by local band, Double Cut.
