Dresden Days Revamps Town
An event intended to boost retail sales in Dresden finished another successful weekend.
Dresden Days featured a shopping experience through Dresden stores as well as street vendors. This weekend served as a reminder that village of Dresden is alive and well.
"We’ve had a lot of traffic with tourism this week. We’ve had a lot of people staying at the Bed and Breakfast in town. It’s just been a very busy week with us and we’re very excited to have the people traveling to this area," said Krysten Smart, member of the Dresden Village Association.
The shops through town offer jewelry, clothing and of course baskets. Dresden Days was a success for the small community, and a step in the right direction for the town.
"I would say that Dresden is reinventing itself. And we are definitely looking for new events and we’re looking at bringing back our favorite clientele as well as adding new," said Smart.
The Dresden Days sale has wrapped up today but the shops along Main Street remain open seven days a week.
