Dresden pool ready for heat wave

DRESDEN, Ohio- One of the hottest days of the year this far had some people ready to cool off in the pool.

The Dresden Swim Center has officially opened for the season and is one of the most popular Muskingum County staples during the summer months.

“The past couple of days have been fantastic,” said pool supervisor Mackenzie Crossley. “We’ve had so many people, we’ve had people come in even past 6:00 p.m. and we have all the chairs full and people in the yard, people enjoying The Hangout. I mean constant, just everybody just enjoying themselves in the pool and laying out it’s great.”

Crossley said the pool has been a staple for as long as she can remember and is one of the main reasons many come to the Village of Dresden.

“This pool in the summer is the middle point of our community, it’s what keeps people coming back into Dresden. The pool is what we have left. Without this we wouldn’t have very many people coming to Dresden so it’s very important for us,” said Crossley.
