Drug Sweep Nets 10 Perry County Arrests

Authorities in Perry County held a press conference Monday morning to announce details of a major drug sweep. It is being called “Operation Spring Cleaning.” Its focus was an ongoing investigation to arrest narcotics related offenders within Perry County. The arrests started Monday at 4:00 am and involved the Perry County Sheriff’s Office, the New Lexington Police Department, the Ohio State Board of Pharmacy and the Central Ohio Drug Enforcement Task Force. 10 people were arrested and investigators are searching for 12 others. Names have not yet been released.
