DUNCAN FALLS, Ohio-The Duncan Falls Fire Department held its 27th annual antique and classic car show today.

The event was a great turnout by the community, many were excited by the great weather. Assistant Chief Steve Farus has more information.

“This is our 27th annual car show, we have it here and as you can see it’s a well turned out event. We have over 216 cars, trucks, fire trucks, tractors, garden tractors, you name it and it’s here.”

The event is held each year with the proceeds benefiting the fire department. Farus says the fire department was happy their planning paid off.

“The money benefits, really, the community because we put it back into our equipment, such as new jaws, new hoses, new fire truck. So the money stays with our fire department solely, so it’s used to update and maintain our equipment… It is a yearly event that all of us plan on. We start about in December and plan on it, so it is a full fire department event.”

There were also a bevy of prizes handed out including multiple raffle and door prizes.
