Early Voting for the 2022 Primary Election Starts Today!

MUSKINGUM COUNTY, Ohio-Today is the first day to submit your ballot for the Ohio Primary election for Governor.
The Muskingum County Board of Elections will be open from today until May 2nd for early voters.
There are several ways to submit your vote by physically visiting the Board of Elections office, or by mailing in an absentee ballot request.
Cheryl West, Muskingum County Election Specialist, says that the office will be offering extended hours as the official election day gets closer.
“As it gets closer to election day, the hours will get longer, we do have some weekend hours coming towards the end of April, so that should help with peoples schedules,” she said.

You will also need to declare a party in order to vote in the primary as well as bring your I.D.
The Board of Elections is on Market Street, and with their new advertisements, you are sure to spot them driving by.
“Process coming into the office does not take very long. You know, we’re easy to spot because we have some new.. Some new things that we um advertise over here on top of the building, we have inflatable Uncle Sam and we have some signage,” West let us know.
