Economy Linen Celebrates New Equipment
One area business had a lot to celebrate Wednesday…
Economy Linen, on Howard Street, held a ribbon cutting ceremony, to celebrate the two-million dollar washroom renovation that was completed in late March.
"It’s an investment in our community, it’s an investment for our employees, it’s a commitment for us to grow our business right here in Zanesville, Ohio. So it’s a very happy occasion for us," said Vice President of Operations Jim Buchbinder.
Members of the Chamber of Commerce and local businesses, as well as Mayor Jeff Tilton attended the ceremony. Buchbinder said the renovation not only benefits the factory, but the community as well.
"As we attract new business into our plant here, we will create jobs for Zanesville. That’s a big plus. We’re going to save 12,000 MMBTUs… Which is the equivalent of 1.3 million pounds of carbon dioxide emissions… Or the equivalent of 118 cars off of the road."
Once the ribbon was cut, those who attended were able to see the new equipment at work.
