ED ROYSTON (September 6, 1935 – July 24, 2011)

Ed M. Royston, 75, of Zanesville, passed away at 6:08 AM Sunday July 24, 2011 at Genesis Good Samaritan Hospital.

Ed was born September 6, 1935 in Zanesville the son of the late Melvin Edward and Ellen French Wilson Royston. He was a veteran of the US Air Force and was a Tech. SGT employed by the Air Force in Zanesville. He was a member of New Hope Full Gospel Church and the Elks Club in California. Ed enjoyed hunting, fishing, NASCAR and most of all spending time with his family.

Surviving Ed is his wife: Kathryn Ann Blanton Royston, children: Martin Royston, Stephen Royston, Chris Royston, Ricky Royston and John Royston all of Orangeville, CA, Steven Blanton of Ion, CA, David Blanton of Sacramento, CA, Douglas Royston and Jeanette Royston both of Zanesville and Bob (Stephanie) Royston of Columbus, numerous grandchildren, nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.

Preceding him in death in addition to his parents was a sister: Mary E. Weaver.

Visitation for Ed will be 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM Tuesday July 26, 2011 at Bryan & Snider Funeral Home 2318 Maple Ave. Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM Wednesday July 27, 2011 with visitation one hour prior to service at the New Hope Full Gospel Church 3560 East Pike with full military services. Following Ed’s wishes he will be cremated following services at the church.
