Edwin Jay Rayner, 59, of Blue Rock, passed away Thursday, July 24, 2025, at his residence. He was born April 26, 1966, in Zanesville to the late Charles and Edith Alexander Rayner. He was a Machine Operator for Miba Bearings. He enjoyed playing pool with friends, listening to Rock and Roll on vinyl records especially KISS, drawing, collecting Avenger comics, scaring kids with his Michael Myers costume, and bad Dad jokes. He was an avid Cincinnati Reds fan and the Washington Redskins and hated the name change. He loved spending time outside on his mower, gardening, watching the hummingbirds and was an animal lover. Above all, he loved his family and his work family.

He is survived by his wife Michelle Hall Rayner; a son Brandon Rayner; a sister Glenna Mitchell; brothers in law: Shane (Jennifer) Vaughan and Shawn (Keela) Vaughan; best friend Matt Carnes; and lots of beloved nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his mother-in-law Joyce Vaughan.

Calling hours will be held from 3 to 5PM Saturday, August 2, 2025, at THE SNOUFFER FUNERAL HOME, 1150 WEST MILITARY ROAD, ZANESVILLE. A Memorial Service will begin at 5PM in the Snouffer Chapel with Pastor Jeff Belt officiating. Cremation care has been entrusted to the Snouffer Crematory.
