Eleanor (Ellie) A. Patton

Eleanor (Ellie) Patton, 94, of Zanesville, died at Beckett House in New Concord, Ohio at 8:15 on May 4, 2017. Born July 27, 1922 in Coolville, Ohio, she moved to Zanesville in 1940 and married Orris E. Patton on October 18, 1941. Ellie was a loving mother of five children.

She worked at Montgomery Ward, Spiegel Catalog and Moore’s “busy” stores where she met many friends.

Surviving are 1 sister, Clarice (Harold) of Athens, 5 adult children: 2 daughters and 1 son-in-law, Carolyn (Sis) and Bill Todd, and Lynda King (Kenny) of Zanesville; 3 sons and 1 daughter-in-law, Edwin “Ed” Patton of Florida, Larry and (Sherry) Patton of New Albany and Rusty Patton of Zanesville.

Grandchildren: Rhonda Smith and Damon Patton – Greg, Chris, and Trevor Todd and Julie (Todd) Zigo – Todd and Troy Patton and Tammy (Patton) Contino – Shane Young and Brandi (King) Nicks – Curtis, Douglas and Colin Patton, and 25 Great Grandchildren.

Ellie was preceded in death by her loving husband of 57 years, (Orris), her parents, Clarence and Gertrude Humphrey, 2 brothers, Turner (Ed) Humphrey, Shep Humphrey, and 1 sister Nettie Burns.
