Elmer H. Sims, 81, of Pfiefer Drive, Zanesville passed away Saturday, October 8, 2011 at 7:40 pm at the Morrison House in Zanesville.

Elmer was born on February 2, 1930 in Chandlersville to the late George and Elsie Carrell Sims Sr. Elmer retired from Rockwell International in Newark and served his county in the Army during the Korea Conflict. He attended the Cornerstone Full Gospel Church in Duncan Falls.

He is survived by his wife Reba Huey Sims whom he married August 9, 2002. Three Sister are Lavella McElhaney, Pamela Thimmes both of Zanesville and Ladonna Gard of Newark.
He is preceded in death by his first wife Evelyn Sims and two sons Elmer Sims Jr and James A. Sims His brothers William E. Sims and George Sims Jr. Elmer’s wishes was to be cremated.
