“No Barriers” Event at Secrest Auditorium

ZANESVILLE, OH – The Secrest Auditorium is gearing up to host an empowering community event.

“No Barriers” will be held on December 14th beginning at 9:30 AM. It will feature special guest speaker, Erik Weihenmayer, whose life is a testament to overcoming the impossible.

“Erik Weihenmayer is a blind adventurous. He’s an amazing man. He’s one of the best speakers on the circuit right now. His presentation is all about overcoming adversity,” Straker Foundation Director of Special Events, Beth Fox said.

Sponsored by the Straker Foundation, this free presentation is open to the public and focuses on building an inclusive world where barriers don’t limit possibilities.

“It’s all about each one of us have those challenges that we face throughout our lives and it’s about overcoming those challenges and putting together a group of people around you that are really going to help you meet your goals. We thought this would be an awesome presentation for particularly the high schoolers we have in Muskingum County,” Fox said.
