Esther (Marie) Godfrey

Esther (Marie) Godfrey,91 , of Philo passed away on Saturday, April 1, 2017, at the Oaks at Northpointe.

Marie was born February 6, 1926 in Perry County to the late Asa and Maggie (Kronenbitter)  Rowe.

Marie was a protestant by faith and was an EMT for the Harrison Township EMS, serving as secretary from 1982 to 2008. Avon repersentative for over 30 years and member of Avon president club.

She is survived by her Daughters, Penny (Fred) Barker of Philo, Rebecca Rushing of Chuch Hill, Tenn , Carmela (Marvin) Houk  of Heath. Her son is Peter Godfrey of Philo. She has 13  grandchildren, 17   Great Grandchildren, and 3  great great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her Husband, Albert E. Godfrey. Her sons Michael Godfrey on Nov 19, 2009 and Patrick Godfrrey in 1976. A Brother Floyd Rowe and sisters Bernice Fox, Rosa Neil, and Elizabeth Richards.

Friends may call at the Farus Funeral Home in Duncan Falls on Monday ,April 10, 2017. The funeral will be held on  1 pm Tuesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Arthur Potts officiating and burial will be in Zion Cemetery in Portersville.
