Eva A. Pishner (November 8, 1927 – March 28, 2014)

Eva A. Pishner , 86 of Zanesville died surrounded by her family, Friday, March 28, 2014 at her residence following a short illness.
She was born on November 8, 1927 in Century, WV the daughter of George W. and Mary Ann Prutsok Levicki.
Eva was a member of St. Thomas Catholic Church where she had been a volunteer receptionist and Eucharistic minister. She had also been a member of the St. Thomas Prayer group. Eva was a graduate of the Strayer Business College in Washington D.C. She had been employed by the U.S. State Department, the Veterans Hospital in Clarksburg WV and the Veteran’s Administration in Akron Ohio. Eva was a loving, supportive mother to her children and wife to her husband. She love to sew, cook, garden and spent many hours turning an old home into a beautiful residence. Eva was a great sports fan, especially for her Buckeyes! She loved Elvis and converted all of her family into fans. She will be greatly missed.
Eva is survived by her husband Joseph J. Pishner whom she married April 14, 1956, her children Karen (Jeff) Linser, Gene Pishner, Janet (Scott) Mittman, Nancy Pishner Noll, Ann (Brian) Williams and grandchildren; Jenny (Eric) Braun, J. J. Linser; Alisa, Andrew, Carolyn and Jason Noll; Allison and Jacob Mittman; Camille and Claire Williams. In addition to her parents, Eva was preceded in death by son Joseph James, four brothers and four sisters.
Friends may call 5-8pm with a Christian Vigil & family comments at 7:30pm on Sunday, March 30, 2014 at the Bryan & Snider Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00am on Monday, March 31, 2014 at the St. Thomas Catholic Church with Fr. Stephen Dominic Hayes O.P. as celebrant. Burial will conclude in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery, West Main St., Zanesville.
