Evelyn J. Barber
Evelyn J. Barber, 91, of Zanesville died 1:30 AM Friday, March 10, 2017, at the Hospice of Central Ohio, Newark.
She was born on March 1, 1926, in Youngstown the daughter of Joseph Thomas Sr. & Anna K. (Thomas) Thomas.
Evelyn was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary, Youngstown and retired as an office manager for the Strouss Department Store in Youngstown. She was an avid golfer, bowler & bingo player.
She is survived by her four children; Noreen (Alan) Seidler of Zanesville, Debra (Bill) Ceapa of Reynoldsburg, Greg (Pat) Barber of Austintown, and Gary (Kelley) Barber of Marion; 10 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren. Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents; her 1st husband Alexander J. Barber and her 2nd husband Charles McPhail; 3 brothers, Edward Thomas, Gerald Thomas & Joseph Thomas Jr.
There will be no visitation and a private memorial service and burial will take place a later date.
