F.O.P. Senior Holiday Dinner Canceled

A longtime holiday tradition in Zanesville won’t be taking place this year.

Officials at the Center for Seniors in Muskingum County say that the annual FOP Senior Holiday Dinner that was set for December 11th has been canceled.

Officials say Monday’s wind storm caused damage to the Center’s roof.

Representatives from the Center and Wes Elson of the F.O.P met on Tuesday to evaluate the situation and decided it would be best to cancel this year’s dinner.

The event over the years has served thousands of seniors a holiday meal and was started by the late Dave Joseph, Sr.
